Facts, Answers, Questions...

1.) Q:  What is this?

      A:  That Game Show Guy is an interactive theater event that travels to your venue! Leave the typical bar trivia behind. We also offer customized questions and games for your specific group, as well as your specific goals.

2.) Q:  Do you offer an online game show?

      A:  Not at this time. This is an interactive theater event.  We find the magic doesn't happen unless we are there, in person.

3.)  Q:  How much does the game show cost?

        A:  Our rates are competitive with other interactive corporate event entertainment & team building vendors.  We are fully committed to working within your budget to provide the most enjoyable experience possible for your audience!

4.)  Q:  What types of games do you offer?

         A: We do standard trivia, customized trivia, Work Feud, Work Buddy, The Interrogation Game, BeanBoozled, Improv Bedtime Story, and we like to end our events with a T-SHIRT CANNON!  See our full description of games on our webpage. 

5.) Q:  Where are you located?

      A:  That Game Show Guy is headquartered in Tampa Florida. However, we regularly produce events NATIONWIDE!

6.) Q:  Will the questions be customized?

      A:   Yes-If you want certain topics or subject matter covered-we will do so!

7.) Q:  Who will emcee my event?

      A:  Your event will be led by a polished & professional corporate event emcee; Garrett Young.

8.) Q:  What size groups does this work for?

      A:  The ideal audience is between 30-300 people – however, we have successfully produced events for groups as small as 10, to as large as 1,500+!

9.) Q:  What kind of trivia do you ask?

      A:  We use a mix of general knowledge, pop culture, and company/audience-specific questions.  We can also integrate music and visual questions as well!

10.) Q:  Is answer submission digital, or pen & paper?

        A:  That Game Show Guy typically allows contestants to answer into the microphone, or nonverbal responses such as raising a hand or writing the answer down on a dry erase board.  We also have the audience take a survey for Work Feud.  In short, this depends on the game itself.

11.) Q:  How long does a game show event last?

        A:  It depends on what your goals are.  Our basic level events usually run about 90 minutes.  More elaborate events run 3 hours or more.

10.) Q:  Where are these events held?

        A:  That Game Show Guy events can be held in virtually ANY private space: hotel ballroom/conference room, bar, restaurant, even onsite at your office! So long as we have a private space with comfortable seating for your group, we can set up shop almost ANYWHERE!

11.) Q:  Will That Game Show Guy arrange the venue, or do I have to?

        A:  The venue shall be arranged separately by you; however, once secured we shall liaise directly with the venue to make all necessary technical/logistical arrangements related to the trivia contest.

12.) Q:  Do you have general liability insurance coverage?

        A:  Of course! We would be happy to provide your venue with a COI.

13.)  Q:  What are That Game Show Guy’s production needs? Will you provide AV?

         A:  For smaller events (150 or fewer attendees), we can provide our own portable audio projection equipment. However, for larger events we typically request our clients/venue provide a professional-quality sound system with microphones/musical device input, as well as a screen & projector. A full stage or riser is preferable, but NOT required.

14.) Q:  Can this be integrated with a meal?

        A:  “Roving” and/or “stationary” trivia may be conducted during cocktail period, as well as during meals – however, for team trivia we recommend waiting until after the meal has ended, or at least until after the entree has been served before starting.

15.) Q:  My group is very diverse – will this work for them?

        A:  Yes! Because of the customization, our trivia events are ideal for integrating diverse groups, be they mixed ages, nationalities, managerial levels or departments, to ensure that EVERYONE is participating and feels the event is relevant and appropriate to them.

16.)  Q:  My group is REALLY smart – will the questions be challenging enough?

       A:  That Game Show Guy has experience producing trivia contests for highly intelligent, high-performing individuals at all levels. We guarantee an experience which is extremely fun, competitive, and appropriately challenging for your group!

17.)  Q:  Will my group have a chance to socialize/network?

         A:  Of course! We recommend a cocktail hour or other socialization period immediately prior to the contest.  We can also provide built-in socialization opportunities throughout the event in between rounds of team trivia.

18.)  Q:  How many staff will you bring to my event?

         A:  In addition to the emcee, we may send a professional event producer and/or a team of production assistants to facilitate event flow and scoring. Depending upon the size and location of your event, you can expect us to bring between 1-5 staff.

19.)  Q:  When is the best time of day to hold a trivia event?

         A:  Game show events can be held day or night, rain or shine! However, most of our clients choose to hold their events in doors, in the evening, after business hours, in a cocktail hour or after-dinner format.
